The true measure of a coach is not in his Win/ Lose Column, but in his ability to raise up his players into better men and athletes.

A coach should never crush older players dreams for the talent of the young, the younger talent will still be there when the older player is gone. But the older player’s dreams might not be there if the coach abandons them for his dreams of success.

The duties of a coach is to help his players move forward in their dreams, and his true life goal should not be to see how many championships he receives but to see how many players he was able to help go forward in their careers. Not all Championships were won with the “Best Nine” on the field; Most times they are won from the hearts of the players willing to give all for their team and coach.
